Teaching
Modern behavioural biology is an interdisciplinary and integrative discipline within the field of Biology. This is also reflected in our teaching activities and the contents of our courses. The fascination for organismic approaches and their relevance e.g. for biomedical research are shown to students. Our goal is to open the mind for analytical views of complex relationships and interactions, such as the control of behaviour by molecular, genetic and neuroendocrine mechanisms. In addition, we aim to teach methodological approaches how to deal with scientific questions on the proximate and ultimate level.
